S T A T E • A W A R D S

NOTE: Some awards are ONLY achieved at the State Level.

1. Ensemble Division: Medals will be awarded to each 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winner. Ensembles compete by division and size.
2. Solo Division/ “Tops in Texas”: Recognition will be given to all participants who score 90 or higher (Division I rating). 1st—5th place winner placements. Some solo winners will perform before awards. 
3. Kay-Tee Awards (Super Sweepstakes): Teams/Officers who enter 3 or more team categories and a cumulative score of 280.
4. Choreography Awards: Team/Officers recognition of quality choreography to teams with a perfect score.
5. Technique Awards: Team/Officers recognition of amazing technique to teams with a perfect score.
6. Precision Awards: Team/Officers recognition of impeccable precision to teams with a perfect score. 
7. Overall Effect: Team/Officers recognition for outstanding overall effect with a perfect score.
8. Best in Category: Top-scoring routine in each category/division and overall best in category    Example: Small team, Best Jazz, highest scoring team/officers from all competitors, no matter what division if there is competition in that genre.
9. Best in Class: Top-scoring Team/Officers/Specialty Groups in each division. Teams may be combined by division size based on the number of entries at the discretion of MDDTTexas.
10. Top 3 Team and Officers will receive recognition by being named—STATE GRAND CHAMPION, STATE CHAMPION, & STATE CHAMPION RESERVE. This banner may hang proudly in your school.
