AWARDS-regional contests & state

​AWARDS-REGIONAL: TEAMS/OFFICERS/ENSEMBLES & SOLOS - NOTE THERE ARE SOME AWARDS ONLY CAN BE ACHIEVED AT STATE LEVEL


REGIONALS


ENSEMBLE AWARDS
Medals will be awarded to each 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winner. Ensembles compete by division and size of the ensemble.


SOLO DIVISION AWARDS
TOPS IN TEXAS - Solo Awards

Recognition will be given to all solo participants who score 88 or higher. 88 or above is DIVISION 1 RATING - The placement of winners will be 1st - 5th place. Top scoring high school soloists will perform at beginning of awards.


Sweepstakes - Team/Officers entering 3 or more categories and receiving an  88 or above on each routine will qualify for the Sweepstakes award.



KAY-TEE Awards (Super Sweepstakes): Teams/Officers who enter 3 or more team categories and score 270 cumulative on top 3 routines entered. 



Choreography Awards: Team/Officers Recognition of quality choreography in any routine entered. (with cumulative scores of 270)


Best in Category: TOP scoring routine in each category with a score of at least 90. (AVERAGE) (by division - Jazz etc) and overall- Ex. – Jazz – highest scoring team/officers from all competitors, no matter what division they are entered in.(Must have at least 2 in the category for this award)


Best in Class: TOP scoring team/officers/specialty groups in each division.

(SMALL / MEDIUM / LARGE / X-LARGE / SUPER  ) 

may be combined depending on number of entries.

ex. small officers have 5 entries and medium has 1 - then combined sm/med -discretion of MDDTTEXAS


TOP-SCORING TEAMS & OFFICERS RECEIVE A BANNER TO PROUDLY HANG IN THE SCHOOL!

THE FOLLOWING AWARDS ARE FOR STATE LEVEL CONTESTS


TOP SCORING TEAM OF ALL ENTRIES: (must perform at least 3 routines) (top three scores of a team —cumulative— if the team performs more than 3, the top three scores are used) 


TOP SCORING OFFICERS OF ALL ENTRIES (must perform at least 3 routines (take the top three cumulative scores of the officer line - if the team performs more than 3, the top three scores are used) 


TOP SCORING ROUTINE OF THE DAY – any one routine with the highest score of the day — no matter how many routines the team competed in. The team and the officer will be presented with an award.


TEXAS SPECIALTY AWARDS:

Best Technique – Judges’ Choice

Most Entertaining – Judges’ Choice on team or officer line
