You will be asked again at the beginning of the 2nd semester for your team count (number on team = all members, eligible and ineligible, who are dancers). This DOES NOT include managers/escorts. If eligibility becomes an issue for team numbers, please let us know at least 2 weeks before the contest so size adjustments can be made if necessary.

If your team performs with less than 50%, you will be automatically entered into the Elite Division.
Consent to Photography & Recording
Photos and videos may be taken during the event by official photographers, videographers, and authorized media representatives. These images may include participants, audience members, and staff and may be used for promotional, commercial, or editorial purposes.
Usage Rights
By entering the venue, you grant MDDTTexas, its affiliates, sponsors, and media partners the irrevocable right to use, reproduce, publish, and distribute any photographs or videos taken during the event. This includes, but is not limited to, use on websites, social media, promotional materials, advertising, live streams, and broadcasts, without compensation or notification.
Media Restrictions for Attendees
Personal photography and videography by spectators may be permitted in designated areas but must not interfere with the performance, other spectators, or the professional recording of the event. Flash photography and tripods may be restricted for safety reasons.
Minors
By registering a minor for this competition, parents or legal guardians consent to the inclusion of their child in any event media as outlined above.
MUSIC INFORMATION:
MDDTTexas will email a link to upload music to Google Drive one week prior to the contest with specific instructions. ONLY FOR BACKUP: A team representative with backup music will be required at the sound table and should remain for the duration of the routine. Music played from an iPhone or iPad will require the following: Auto Lock Off / Passcode Off / Volume Up / Airplane Mode On (so music is not interrupted).
MUSIC CRITERIA:
MDDTTexas runs a 4/5 Team and Officer schedule. If you have set-up time needed for your performance, please add let us know when completing registration in the proper location. Solo, duet, and trio performances will be scheduled every 3/4 minutes with some solo performances divided between the gym and auditorium.
MUSIC DURATION:
Teams, Officers, Ensembles, and Solos: 1½-3:00 minutes in length. Production/Open: 5 minutes in length. All music should be professionally recorded for the best sound quality at the correct performance tempo. The competition area sometimes WILL NOT have WiFi capability. Please be sure you have a backup Internet connection. Lastly, neither MDDTTexas nor the Host School or Sound Company will be held responsible for audio devices not picked up following performances.
MUSIC RECORDINGS:
For registration to be complete, you must VERIFY by agreeing to our Terms & Conditions that your music selection(s) have been purchased legally and have not been altered in any way to violate music copyright laws.
